SWOT Analysis, is the over all evaluation of the companies, Strenghts,(S) Weakeness, (W) opportunities,(O) threats (T). The
Strenght’s of my event are that
is held in a community church where community feels safe and secure with their
children and they know that the charity event donations are mostly likely to go
to the correct charity and is therefore a creditable source, and people are
mostly likely to attended the event.. Some of the weaknesses of the charity
event, however will mostly likely to come from people that are
not willing to participated and or donate time or materials needed for the
charity event, a limited range of material could existed, that's why I estimate
a year to accomplish this mission. after all its a lot of work; but "great
things take time". But another major advantage is that parents and
returning students will be able to release some tension before going
back to school. Parents will have another last opportunity to bond with their
children before they go back to school and they will cherish those moments. as
they see their children have fun.."Children may also have a strong
influence on family buying decisions. The nation’s 36 million kids age 8 to 12
wield an estimated $30 billion in disposable income. They also influence an
additional $150 billion that their families spend on them in areas such as
food, clothing, entertainment, and personal care items. One recent study found
that kids significantly influence family decisions about everything from where
they take vacations to what cars and cell phones they buy" An
Introduction: marketing 10 edition, page 19, chapter 5, another opportunity is
a new product development. If any threats they will mostly likely come from
people participant that are not following rules or that are not trust
worthy and we could end-up short of
product sales and competitor could decrease same product designs to have an
advantage in the market, all tho the project is to raise some awareness the
goal is to get many people to come as possible, the whole idea is no sell lots
of the products, but to actually have the parents become aware of the needs for
the product , " Marketing is
managing profitable customer relationships. The twofold goal of marketing is to
attract new customers by promising superior value and to keep and grow current
customers by delivering satisfaction." An introduction: Maketing 10

Week 7 BOC: The Pitch
My
pitch is to have a “Glow back to school festival” in 2013 at my church, the idea is
to have our local area community to come have fun and contribute to helping
others thru donations. My plan is to present the project to my church priest,
in writing and have, him; say yes to it!
Then I will gather a few friends and family member that could help me
with the festival. The fundraiser is to sell fabric products, during the
festival. After getting permission from my church priest I will present my plan
to as many of our local fashion retail stores as I can, and have them donate: T-shirts
and Hats, or any other supplies they want to donate: for the event. Then I’ll
gather all my Friends, family members etc, to donate as well. After all has
been done. I will have my cousin donate his time and T-shirt printing machine. So
we could print cool design’s on ( products ) hoodies, hats and T-shirts that people will enjoy
and have fun with, like neon colors and hot pink and cool glow in the dark colors designs, I will have
one my friend that is a graphic designer help me with the designs... I'll have large black lights posted around the dancing area were kids or anyone else can enjoy their glow clothes, i will also post black lights in different area's of the church. All this and
much more, for entertainment I bring my own DJ equipment and have a small
dancing contest and award people with a free T-shirt,or hoddie hat or give away a free
meal. I’ll have two people come sell food and have then contributed by donating
some of the money to church… and everyone is happy. I’ll this work will be
hard, I estimate that the whole project and for the festival will take a year
long, but the reward will be great! "when Swartz recently met with McDonald’s executives to pitch
providing the fast-food giant with new uniforms, he didn’t bring along
any designs. In fact, he didn’t even talk about clothing. Instead, he
made an impassioned speech about how Timberland could help McDonald’s
create a more unified, motivated, purposeful workforce that would
benefit both the company and the world at large." marketing: an inntroduction to marketing page 37 chapter 16.

Week 6 EOC: Me times x3
A product that defines me is Vans shoes, the first thing that defines my shoes is the simplicity of the product and the comfort of taking them off really quick ! and them come in many different colors, easy to wash, and they are affordable usually about 35 dollars. Before i used to buy all running shoes but they were always expensive and they only came in certain colors usually about 3 colors black, white and gra unlike the other shoes were the products try to have so much in so little, where they fail, vans succeded they made it simple. “Staples: That was easy”( marketing: an Introduction 10th edition . Tide has always been part of my family's most sought after detergent because of its "Inter value" it not the brand that we like. It the quality of having the best liquid that going to the best job for us. It leaves our clothes smelling good, and the colors staying bright, I personally do not have an emotional attach to it but it does smell good ! “we are what we have.” Thus, in order to understand consumer behavior, the marketer must first understand the relationship between consumer self-concept and possessions.
Week 5 EOC: super bowl commercial
This super bowl tv commercial is awesome, it makes a good statement of how chevy trucks are strong, durable and long lasting. the company used the Mayan calendar end of the world predictions of 2012, trend of the times. great marketing strategy, to make a bowl statement about their trucks. also funny! Marketing has “historically been an exposure and intrusion practice—get in someone’s face and talk about the attributes of the brand, (Marketing: an introduction10th edition book.) The ad does just that it talks about the attributes strong, durable, and long lasting and the commercial scenes "back it up". Good marketing companies know that they cannot serve all customers in every way. Instead, they need to focus their resources on the customers they can serve best and most profitably. The second marketing strategy question is “How can we best serve targeted customers ( Marketing:an Introduction 10th edition book.) This ad also does just that, it targets people who have close relationship to the product, in this case i think that the company is marketing consumer like myself, for example: truck drivers, construction workers, alcohol drinkers, sport lovers, and mostly guys. Tough trucks for guys, for tough situations ! is the point here. customer feel a close identity with product.

Week 4 EOC: Consumer VS business buying behaviour
In
my option the analogy of the consumer market is like a hierarchy is made of big
to small companies. GE is the top company in America they sell everything. But
not directly to their consumers, but rather to their fellow business to
business industrial and commercial companies, the major factors that influence
buyer are emotional attachments, second the needs and third the wants. Maslow
theory of needs gives us the perfect examples of how and why people buy, but
the major difference between the consumer customer and buyers are the
understanding of each individual needs. The buying decisions are much more
complex. An average consumer buying a refrigerator might do a little online
research and then pop out to the local Best Buy to compare models before buying
one. In contrast, buying a batch of jet engines involves a tortuously long
buying process, dozens or even hundreds of decision makers from all levels of
the buying organization, and layer upon layer of subtle and not-so-subtle
buying influences. (Marketing: An
introduction for education management Corporation’s page: 158). The
adoption and diffusion of new products is the whether the consumer thinks the
product is the right choice for his or her needs and whether to use it or not. The Major factor that influence buying
behaviors are individual factors & environmental factors such as,
organizations, interpersonal, individual, a detail demographic of buyers, But
most importantly “the value” in what their buying. The First process of business buying is the
solution to a problem: recognizing the problem in-order to come up with the
solution, product analysis: analyzing the product for customer value, proposal
solicitation: a marketing document that
states the solutions and values to customers better that competing solutions
final stage the performance review in which the buyer assesses the suppliers
performance and provides feedback.

Week 3 EOC: My Demographic
My demographic falls into the generation Y, technology
wise, sophisticated and exposed to it all. Generation Y grew up with technology
and rely on it to perform their jobs better. Nurtured and pampered by parents
who did not want to make mistakes of previous generations, generation Y are
confident, ambitious and achievement –oriented. They have high expectations of
their employers, seek out new challenges and are not afraid to question
authority. Generation Y wants meaningful work and a solid learning curve. The
fast track has lost much of its appeal for generation Y who is willing to trade
high pay for fewer billable hours, flexible schedules and a better work/life
balance.” According to the experts”! For the most part I can relate to this
generation and all said, most of my family is from the generation X except me
and one of my brothers. we tend to be more ambitious and have high expectations
from others and ourselves. I was born during the 80’s, I consider Generation Y,
the technological generation and I take pride because of it. In a way I feel
lucky to be a part of probably one the biggest changes in history, (internet)the
information age. My brothers from Generations X are fond on doing things with
grace and take much pride on their accomplishments. From a marketing point of
view, my brothers born in the Gen X in my opinion are more skeptical (not
willing to try new things) and are thrift with their money. While I and my
brother are a little more open to ventures (Business) and opportunities (On
sale) especially with technology. We pride ourselves in achievements and are
not afraid to lose money on ventures. “We use technology for this” In most part,
all being said about generation Y is true and to certain extend.
week 3 EOC: Making Good Money
Know A days, I think most American companies are following
the TOMS marketing strategy. Which is
good for business, not to be negative, but how can we as the customers be credible
of this trend of giving back to the community? Especially with the big corporations. This year ford announce that they will be
giving to eco-charities, while saving fuel and land fill destined plastic water
bottles all at the same time, for every customer who buys the new 2013 Ford
fusion Hybrid, Ford energy plug in hybrid or focus electric car. Through
REPREVE Give back program, Ford customers and supporters can help determine how
the funds will be distributed among four non-profit organizations. To vote
customers must “like” REPREVE on facebook and click the give back tab to get a passcode
then go to http://www.repreve.com
customers can vote for their favorite environmental cause and learn more about
the authentic recycled fiber of choice. REPREVE is made from a hybrid blend of
post industrial and post consumer waste. Each focus car interior seating
contains the equivalency of 22 recycle plastic bottles made of (Polyethylene
terephthalate) from my marketing point of view this is a great idea not only can
a customer have a eco-friendly car but can also contribute to giving back to the community in his or her purchase. but still doesn't answers my question.
