Week 3 EOC: My Demographic
My demographic falls into the generation Y, technology
wise, sophisticated and exposed to it all. Generation Y grew up with technology
and rely on it to perform their jobs better. Nurtured and pampered by parents
who did not want to make mistakes of previous generations, generation Y are
confident, ambitious and achievement –oriented. They have high expectations of
their employers, seek out new challenges and are not afraid to question
authority. Generation Y wants meaningful work and a solid learning curve. The
fast track has lost much of its appeal for generation Y who is willing to trade
high pay for fewer billable hours, flexible schedules and a better work/life
balance.” According to the experts”! For the most part I can relate to this
generation and all said, most of my family is from the generation X except me
and one of my brothers. we tend to be more ambitious and have high expectations
from others and ourselves. I was born during the 80’s, I consider Generation Y,
the technological generation and I take pride because of it. In a way I feel
lucky to be a part of probably one the biggest changes in history, (internet)the
information age. My brothers from Generations X are fond on doing things with
grace and take much pride on their accomplishments. From a marketing point of
view, my brothers born in the Gen X in my opinion are more skeptical (not
willing to try new things) and are thrift with their money. While I and my
brother are a little more open to ventures (Business) and opportunities (On
sale) especially with technology. We pride ourselves in achievements and are
not afraid to lose money on ventures. “We use technology for this” In most part,
all being said about generation Y is true and to certain extend.
week 3 EOC: Making Good Money
Know A days, I think most American companies are following
the TOMS marketing strategy. Which is
good for business, not to be negative, but how can we as the customers be credible
of this trend of giving back to the community? Especially with the big corporations. This year ford announce that they will be
giving to eco-charities, while saving fuel and land fill destined plastic water
bottles all at the same time, for every customer who buys the new 2013 Ford
fusion Hybrid, Ford energy plug in hybrid or focus electric car. Through
REPREVE Give back program, Ford customers and supporters can help determine how
the funds will be distributed among four non-profit organizations. To vote
customers must “like” REPREVE on facebook and click the give back tab to get a passcode
then go to http://www.repreve.com
customers can vote for their favorite environmental cause and learn more about
the authentic recycled fiber of choice. REPREVE is made from a hybrid blend of
post industrial and post consumer waste. Each focus car interior seating
contains the equivalency of 22 recycle plastic bottles made of (Polyethylene
terephthalate) from my marketing point of view this is a great idea not only can
a customer have a eco-friendly car but can also contribute to giving back to the community in his or her purchase. but still doesn't answers my question.

week 2 EOC: Boston Consulting Group
Adoption
of More Robust Wireless Networks and Phones, “All of these various drivers are fueling the industry’s recent and
projected expansion” Maturing of the Consumer
Base According to the Entertainment
Software Association, the average age of a gamer is 29 years old. This means
that the average gamer has more disposable income than he had historically,
when gamers were typically children.
Additionally, with more adults playing games, they will spend more years
in the target demographic. This shift in demographics has led to an expansion
of the market.2005 http://digitalstrategies.tuck.dartmouth.edu/assets/images/05_shah.pdf"while the release of next generation video game consoles, expected in the late 2012 and 2013, should rekindle interest in the more expensive console gaming market, the rise of the low-cost low margin mobile gaming market may act as weight on the overall gaming market, pulling revenue downward as consumers pay, in aggregate, less per hour of gaming entertainment" http://www.prweb.com/releases/2012/3/prweb9354607.htm In my opinion Physical games
sale market growth will be a cash cow in the Near future and digital (Mobile) games
will be Stars. Most importantly the company marketing strategies should heavily
concentrate on how the companies are going provide future customers with an
easier way for customer to make that connection to video games to make their products
more marketable and available to all customers and not only those in a specific
demographic, whoever wins this battle will mostly be the stars. Since lots people
are out of work the companies should consider the lower income market and those
with internet access or mobile phones that cannot afford to buy a $70 game.

Week 1 EOC. Customer Service
The best customer Service I have received as been at Sam Ash
Musician equipment store. I’ve been going there since 2009 and never look back,
I used go to Guitar center because they had better selection on equipment but
their customer service was “stinky”. So I decide to go to Sam Ash. I remember the
first time I walk in through the doors I got a nice greeting with a smile and
very friendly service. I was looking for DJ equipment for my business, amps,
lights, DJ gear, and recording equipment. The person that worked there immediately
attended me with a smile and a friendly voice and wasn’t trying to rush me into
buying right away. He asked about how I came
to be a DJ and we talk about what I was looking for, and what was most suitable
Equipment within my budget. I was there for a whole hour, but the guy there
save a couple of hundred dollars that I knew I surely would off spend at Guitar
center. I spend about twenty five hundred dollars. They’ve even help carry the
stuff back to my truck. Went I got home I was very pleased with the customer
service that I decide to go back the next week because I had a gig and I needed
the appropriated cables for the equipment to work. Went back the following week and spoke the
same person and got the cables that needed but this time. I felt that the
person was rushing me and trying to help some other customer at the same time. I
didn’t go back for a few months or so, but when I did to my surprise no longer
was that person who help me working there. Some else help me and was just as
helpful and friendly as the other person the very first I was there. So I was
please and have been going there for all my Audio needs ever since. To me, that
is great customer service; been knowledgeable and friendly and not rushing customers
to buy.
