Week 5 EOC: super bowl commercial

                                   
This super bowl tv commercial is awesome, it makes a good statement of how chevy trucks are strong, durable and long lasting.  the company used the Mayan calendar end of the world predictions of 2012, trend of the times. great marketing strategy, to make a bowl statement about their trucks. also funny!   Marketing has “historically been an exposure and intrusion practice—get in someone’s face and talk about the attributes of the brand, (Marketing: an introduction10th edition book.) The ad does just that it talks about the attributes strong, durable,and long lasting and the commercial scenes "back it up".  Good marketing companies know that they cannot serve all customers in every way. Instead, they need to focus their resources on the customers they can serve best and most profitably. The second marketing strategy question is “How can we best serve targeted customers                          ( Marketing:an Introduction 10th edition book.) This ad also does just that, it targets people who have close relationship to the product, in this case i think that the company is marketing consumer like myself, for example: truck drivers, construction workers, alcohol drinkers, sport lovers,and mostly guys. Tough trucks for guys, for tough situations ! is the point here. customer feel a close identity with product.
